Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced line cook to work in a busy, fast-paced kitchen preparing items like burgers, wings, sandwiches, pasta, fresh Lake Superior whitefish, and scratch-made pasties. Candidates should have solid line cook experience, be able to handle multiple tickets at once, stay organized under pressure, and work well as part of a team. Reliability, cleanliness, and attention to food quality are important. Affordable furnished employee housing is available for $150/month in shared homes with private bedrooms.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items including burgers, wings, sandwiches, pasta, whitefish, and scratch-made pasties
Work efficiently on grill, fry, and prep stations
Handle multiple tickets during high-volume, fast-paced service
Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and fully stocked
Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen procedures accurately
Communicate and coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team
Support teammates and jump in wherever needed during busy shifts
Follow food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
Stay focused and perform well under pressure during peak service hours
Qualifications
Previous line cook or kitchen experience required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Strong multitasking skills under pressure
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen procedures
Comfortable working grill, fry, and prep stations
Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and organization
Good communication skills with kitchen and front-of-house staff
Able to work efficiently in a small, busy kitchen environment

Each season, our team is made up of a mix of part-time and full-time staff, seasonal employees, and returning crew members who come back year after year. We also welcome new team members from different backgrounds, all coming together to work a fast-paced summer season in Paradise, Michigan. Because our season is short and busy, we look for people who are committed, dependable, and ready to jump in and contribute right away. We value clear communication, respect, and teamwork, and we support each other through the rush of daily service. While we work hard, we also enjoy the experience together and build strong connections throughout the season.

Bi-weekly direct deposit pay
