Job Overview
Spend your summer living and working on Michigan’s most iconic island! We’re looking for outgoing, reliable bartenders to join the seasonal team at one of Mackinac Island’s bustling bars or restaurants. If you love meeting new people, working in a fast-paced environment, and ending your shift with views of Lake Huron, this is the job for you.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and speed
Provide friendly, attentive service to guests at the bar and cocktail areas
Manage tabs, process payments, and maintain cash drawer accuracy
Uphold cleanliness and safety standards behind the bar
Collaborate with front- and back-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
Comply with all state alcohol service regulations and ID checks
Qualifications
Must be 18+ (or 21+ depending on venue)
Prior bartending or hospitality experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
TIPS certification or alcohol safety training is a plus (can be provided)
